Being on the list of Minnesota’s 100 Best Companies to Work For List is a pretty obvious signal that people like working at Thriveon. In order to get on the list, employees completed a survey that revealed their attitudes on their work environment, culture, benefits and overall happiness at work. The scores were compared to similar companies and those with the best results rose to the top. Need more reasons to advance your IT career at Thriveon? Here's five:

1. Job Satisfaction

If you like to help people as much as you like technology, then you’re going to find work at Thriveon to be very meaningful. From the Help Desk to the vCIO, we’re all focused on helping people use technology to succeed. When we go home at the end of the day, we know that we have made a difference in the lives of people who need reliable IT in order to be the most successful at their jobs.

This has been especially important to Bill Longhenry, Project Engineer, who shared, “I like working with people to help them better understand technology and what technology can do for them.

2. Professional Development

At Thriveon, professional and personal development are intertwined. If there is an area of technology that is aligned with client needs that you want to learn, Thriveon will help you get the training. If there is a certification that you want to pursue to help you in your job, we’ll help with the costs of training and testing.

Josh Dalluge, Systems Engineer, has completed several new certifications since coming to work at Thriveon. He says, “I can learn all sorts of technologies and grow in knowledge and experience. I couldn’t do that at my previous position.”

3. Upbeat Work Environment

The environment at Thriveon has been described by employees as very positive and upbeat. Everyone works as a team and you know that you can always turn to your co-workers for input when there is an especially difficult challenge. Management provides the right tools and resources to best serve clients and everyone is dedicated to their success.

Ryan Sanford, Project Engineer, worked at a large global company before coming to Thriveon. He says, “I love the small family owned company atmosphere. People know each other and care about you and the clients.”

4. Family Friendly Culture

Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is good for people and for business. Thriveon is family owned and management understands the importance of the roles that people fill inside and outside of work. In addition to being flexible for family needs, another way that Thriveon recognizes the importance of family is by paying for 75% of the employee’s and their family’s health insurance premiums.

Brian Spangler worked in a government setting before coming to work at Thriveon as a Network Administrator. He says, “The family friendly culture here is real. If you have some sort of family thing going on your coworkers will tell you, go and do what you need to do.”

5. Never a Dull Moment

Because we work with companies in various industries, we work with many different kinds of technology. The pace here is probably faster than if you were working on the technology inside of just one company. In our business we’re not just working on technology. We’re working with people, so our daily interactions add variety and keep us focused on our mission to help them.

Dave Lauseng, Project Engineer, has found variety in his job to be refreshing. He says, “I like the variety that I have in my job and how it changes from day to day. This is different from the reptitious work I did in my previous job.”
